New Work from the Center for Hadith Studies and Application!
Sheikh Muhammed Avvâme work titled “Hadisin Müessiriyeti: Fakih İmamların İhtilaflarında Hadislerin Tesiri (The Influence of Hadith: The Impact of Hadiths in the Disputes of Jurist Imams)” which we present to the reader, is an extensive explanation of the meanings indicated by the hadith "There are many who receive knowledge, they safeguard better than he who hears". The author narrates in this book the unparalleled expressions of dozens of great Islamic scholars throughout the centuries regarding the juristic rulings derived from hadiths, provides clear examples of their juristic understandings manifesting in many rulings, and explains the reasons for their disagreements in deriving juristic rulings from hadiths with evidence. Despite its small volume, this work brings together many issues that readers may rarely find in other books, deeply addressing the views and objections presented in the classical period regarding these issues, as well as the doubts that have emerged particularly in the last century. With his profound knowledge of the Prophetic Tradition and the narrators of hadith, Sheikh Avvâme firstly explains the position of the hadith in the eyes of the jurist imams in this work. He then discusses when the hadith is suitable for practice, the disagreements among the imams regarding understanding the hadith, and the various aspects of the paths taken by the imams when the hadith seems contradictory in the Sunnah. In this regard, the author constructs a bridge between hadith narration and hadith jurisprudence.
